Long Journey to Henderson

Mount Hermon BP Church moved to Henderson towards the end of 2021 and applied to URA for non-exclusive religious use of its premises. It took 8 months before the approval came. Pastor Daniel Tan writes in the church bulletin, Hermon Herald of 4 September 2022:

“After two and a half years, the safety measures have finally allowed us to sing without our masks on. May the greater comfort, enable us to better vocalize our praises to God and edify one another.

“This past week too, we have continued to experience God our Ebenezer. After waiting for 8 long months, we were finally able to host a visit by our regulators at Henderson on 31 Aug. At the end of the visit, they informed us that we have met their requirements for the non-exclusive religious use of the premises and this afternoon (2 Sep), we received the official approval letter.

“Thanks be to God for His favour.

The easing of the safety measures nation-wide is an opportune time for us to begin uniting as One Hermon @Henderson. Our final part of our Journey to Henderson that started with the rail corridor walk on 11 Dec 2021 is now coming to full fruition on 11 Sep 2022. We will have full in-person service on 11 Sept 2022.”

We rejoice with our brethren in Mount Hermon as they complete their long journey to their new home in Henderson.
